COLLEGIATE EXPERIENCE

Events Management Intern, Social & Corporate Departments, ME Productions, May 2009 – December 2009

Provided sales and marketing/ public relations support for nationally recognized award-winning events management company.

        Designed and wrote proposals for Bar/ Bat Mitzvahs, weddings and high-profile hospitality clients with personalized event ideas.

        Created marketing and digital media plan for start-up party planning business, including website design concept, mission statement, public relations collateral and logistics coordination.

 

Director of Chapter Development & Finance, Public Relations Student Society of America, August 2008 – May 2009
Coordinated and oversaw all chapter development and finance activities including budgeting, membership recruitment, strategic planning, sponsorship, fundraising, board leadership and event management.

        Initiated annual lecture series: “Hear it from the Experts,” as well as numerous community service, leadership and educational events.

        Designed and worked at booths for university fairs

        Developed creative recruitment efforts that increased chapter membership from 5 to 60 members within a six month period.

        Set chapter precedent for launching first Integrated Communications Council and event planning team.

 

Public Relations/ Publicity Intern, Georgia Sports Foundation, May 2008 – August 2008

        Assisted in the planning, scheduling and logistics for major events, including the 2008 Georgia State Championship Games.

        Successfully secured articles, interviews and press releases’ in 12 out of 13 county Neighbor Newspapers as well as several other top publications

        Took initiative to interview Evander Holyfield which led to front-page feature story in company newsletter.
